Biblical Doctrines

Definition of doctrine is the root meaning of the word is “teaching” or “instruction.” A doctrine is something that is taught. Therefore Biblical doctrine would be the teaching or instruction about the Bible.

How we should approach the study of Bible Doctrines is important and the following are three things we must consider.

1. We must be saved - II Cor 4:3-4; I Cor 2:14

2. We must have a basic acceptance of the Bible as God’s truth - II Tim 3:16-17

3. We must rely on the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Jn 16:12-15 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Jhn 16:8   And when he (Holy Spirit) is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
